HOW WE STARTED

I am Karen, your next event host. Ever since coming to Canada in 2008, I always loved speaking in public whether it’s interacting with people, engaging crowds, being the focal point of a party and most specially, I love organizing!

I hold a degree in Psychology and I guess that kinda resulted to my being flexible and adaptive to different type of personalities, preferences and taste.

I currently manage our business, Events by Karen, that is co-owned with my loving husband officially established in June 2023.

Originally from the Philippines, we migrated here little did we know that we would be able to start up something that all started from my love of partying! Yes we love parties! Ever since I am young, people from my town could attest that my family have always been into party planning, party essentials and anything parties and DIY event management. I guess it really ran in the blood!

Being a mother of two (very soon, three!) gives me an opportunity to be creative, resourceful and budget-efficient celebrations. Because creating memories doesn’t need to cost much, the best ones are made with just the heart.
